چکیده
Abstract The design of engineering measures during emergency phases is crucial in mitigating the river flow impacts on landslide dams, avoiding dam breaks and related downstream flooding. Man-made hydraulic facilities represent a possible mitigation strategy for reducing occurrence breaching by diverting inflow. Semi-empirical equations published literature may help define evolution discharge to be diverted into works assuring dam's stability. These approaches need carefully validated with case studies, an important step evaluating accuracy predictive models. work presents discusses pre- post-seismic hydrologic conditions along Nera River gorge focusing role pre-existing anthropic impact Sasso Pizzuto triggered October 30, 2016 earthquake (Central Italy). Landslide hazard assessment in the Collazzone area, Umbria, Central Italy
We present the results of the application of a recently proposed model to determine landslide hazard. The model predicts where landslides will occur, how frequently they will occur, and how large they will be in a given area. For the Collazzone area, in the central Italian Apennines, we prepared a multi-temporal inventory map through the interpretation of multiple sets of aerial photographs tak...
متن کاملImproving Landslide Forecasting Using ASCAT-Derived Soil Moisture Data: A Case Study of the Torgiovannetto Landslide in Central Italy
Predicting the spatial and temporal occurrence of rainfall triggered landslides represents an important scientific and operational issue due to the high threat that they pose to human life and property. This study investigates the relationship between rainfall, soil moisture conditions and landslide movement by using recorded movements of a rock slope located in central Italy, the Torgiovannett...

15 صفحه اولSeismically induced landslide mitigation using flexible slope stabilisation systems
Following earthquake events multiple soil slope failures are observed throughout the structurally fragile soil and rock in North Island, New Zealand. Many of these slopes are located in close proximity to various assets including residential buildings and roads, resulting in damage to the structures. Limited mitigation solutions are available to stabilise both the global integrity and surficial...
متن کاملCharacteristics and classification of landslide dams associated with the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake
Background: Strong earthquakes are among the prime triggering factors of landslides, which may block rivers, forming landslide dams. Some of these dams may pose serious threats to people and property due to upstream inundation and downstream dam-breach flooding. Evaluating the stability and potential hazard of landslide dams is significant for the mitigation measures, but remains challenging. T...
